Simon is an experienced marine professional who specialises in all the SWM services. He provides private windsurf and wingfoil lessons all year round at QMSC. Away from our base at QMSC, Simon runs windsurf clinics at The Official Test Centre (OTC) in Portland Harbour (Weymouth, UK) and windsurf/wingfoil clinics in warm, windy locations through Sportif Travel. He is a Team Rider for Starboard, Severne and Freewing and has written many magazine articles.

 

Simon has worked for over 25 years on boats and boards all over the UK & around the world and once sailed across the Atlantic. As a coach Simon specialises in the delivery of windsurf and wingfoil coaching, RYA first aid training and RYA instructor training. He is one of the very few RYA Trainers qualified to run the RYA Advanced/Advanced+ Windsurf Instructor course.

Coming from an engineering background, Simon attends to a wide range of marine services from our base at QMSC: repairs to boats and boards and dinghy trailer servicing.

 

He is also a marine photographer with a keen eye for the perfect shot.

He can be booked to speak at sailing clubs about windsurfing, winging, coaching, personal development and approaches to learning.
