Whats it about? Get involved with teaching dinghy sailing in single-handers and double-handers to beginners

Minimum personal skill level: Has passed RYA Pre-entry Assessment in last 6 months
What you can teach: RYA Level 1,2 & 3, Seamanship Skills, Day Sailing and Youth Stages 1,2,3 & 4
RYA Dinghy Instructor (single-hander only)
Whats it about? Get involved with teaching dinghy sailing in single-handers to beginners
Duration: 3 days
Moderation required? Yes
Minimum personal skill level: Has passed RYA Pre-entry Assessment in last 6 months
What you can teach: RYA Level 1 & 2 and Youth Stages 1,2,3
RYA Advanced Instructor
Whats it about? Coaching advanced dinghy sailing techniques
Duration: 2 days
Moderation required? no
Minimum personal skill level: Advanced dinghy sailor with competence in entry-level advanced double-handers
What you can teach: As a Dinghy Instructor plus Sailing with Spinnakers and Performance Sailing
RYA Multihull Instructor
Whats it about? Coaching multihull sailing techniques
Duration: 2 days
Moderation required? no
Minimum personal skill level: Ability to demonstrate multihull sailing at pre-entry level
What you can teach: Everything that you are already qualified to deliver as a Dinghy Instructor (in multihulls)
RYA Keelboat Instructor
Whats it about? Coaching keelboat sailing techniques
Duration: 2 days
Moderation required? no
Minimum personal skill level: Ability to demonstrate keelboat sailing at pre-entry level
What you can teach: Everything that you are already qualified to deliver as a Dinghy Instructor (in keelboats)
RYA Race Coach Level 1
Whats it about? Introducing students to basic racing techniques
Duration: 1 day (this could be extended to 2 days, to include a day of personal sailing skills)

RYA Senior Instructor (Dinghy)
Whats it about? To enable you to manage RYA dinghy training both ashore and afloat, ensuring that the work of the instructor team is safe, enjoyable and complete with valuable learning outcomes. To help you to understand the role of the Chief Instructor or RYA Principal. Possibly the last professional RYA course a candidate will take, the importance of this course cannot be under-estimated - not only for the candidate but for the ongoing success of dinghy training in both commercial and volunteer club RYA Training Centres.
