Simon’s Sportif clinics currently take place in Tobago in the Caribbean, (windsurfing and wingfoiling) and in Prasonisi on the Greek Island of Rhodes (windsurfing and wingfoiling). These locations have been specially selected to provide a solid learning platform in warm water with the best prospect of reliable winds. These clinics are ideal for regular and occasional participants as well as those who have been away from their sport for a while and want to be guided back into it feeling confident on modern equipment.

Minimum level required to join: lower-intermediate wingfoiler, making first flights and comfortably staying up wind in flat water on a big board with a big foil. We can offer wing lessons at our school at Queen Mary Sailing Club to get you to this level!

Simon's 2024 RHODES WINGFOIL CLINIC (21-28 September 2024) takes place in the stunning flat water venue of Prasonisi, Southern Rhodes. The conditions are excellent for intermediate wingfoilers, with very reliable wind stats for September. The prevailing wind is accelerated by the local ‘Venturi' system as it squeezes between the land masses. The clinic will be run on the flat-water side of the beach. The wind has a cross-off direction, meaning that setting off and gliding back towards the beach for foiling gybes is done in really flat water.

Simon's 2025 TOBAGO WINGFOIL CLINIC (21-28 January 2025) takes place in the flat water paradise venue of Pigeon Point, Tobago. The conditions are excellent for intermediate wingfoilers, with very reliable wind stats for January. On a good day, mainly from December through to June, the conditions are some of the finest in the Caribbean. The launch is from the Pigeon Point National park. It is protected by Bucco Reef which lies up to one and half miles off one of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Inside the vast lagoon, the flat, crystal clear, shallow water is a sailor's dream. The wind is steady sideshore from the left making it easy to foil out and return.
Intermediate wingfoilers will thrive on these clinics. Simon will be working with the group across a range of skills including: kit selection, set up and tuning tips, getting up on the foil early, pumping the board and wing, foiling control and turns at speed, foiling and non-foiling tacks and gybes, foot changes and the optional use of foot straps, riding toeside (switched stance), the optional use of harness and setup of harness lines & relevant snippets of theory to enhance practical understanding. There will be loads of improvements that Simon can help you with as well as new ideas and moves to try.
Simon will be making use of shore-based learning to support the on-water sessions. Coaching includes use of GoPros with various mounts, video coaching and photos to enable a close look at your technique. Expect to work as hard as you like on the water and to enjoy relaxing at all other times with fun, chilled evening socials. Professional drone and stills photography may be available at extra cost from Eye Sea You Photography​ (Prasonisi) and from Radical Sports Tobago (Tobago).
These will be incredible weeks of intermediate coaching with typically good wind in fantastic locations. Windsurfing clients will be on the same clinic as Simon is a very experienced coach in both sports. Participants will do either wingfoiling or windsurfing. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment!
